I live in Atlanta, GA with my wife Jessica, our 5 children, a dog and two cats.

I've completed the level 1 and level 2 certificate programs in Narrative Focused Trauma Care through the Allender Center at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology.

It is an honor to get to engage your story and join you on your journey.

Note: While our conversations might feel therapeutic at times, I am not a licensed therapist.

What is Story Work?

Story Work is a narrative focused method of engaging harm. It's a dialog with another human being, a trained wise guide, an empathetic witness, an embodied presense. Someone that sets the table and holds space for you and your story. Someone that can walk with you into the gaps of memory, or the figments of memory that you have and don't want to.

Madeleine L'Engle said, "You are every age you have ever been." There is a linkage between our present-day experience and our growing up. The healing and wholeness we so deeply long for can only happen if we dare to wade into our past stories of pain and heartache, stories that bear shame and contempt. All of this is done with kindness, curiosity and honor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your rate? How much does it cost?

My 2024 rate is $80 for a 50 minute session. I have a small number of sessions set aside on a sliding scale so please don't hesitate to reach out.

Do you work with anyone?

Yes. All of you and all of your story is welcome. In our first meeting, a free 25 minute consultation, we will both feel out how our personalities mesh together to determine if we're a good fit for each other.

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

No. As a matter of fact, I know that a lot of people have been harmed by religion so I try to provide a safe space for healing from this particular kind of trauma as well.

Do you take insurance?

As mentioned above, I'm not a licensed therapist so our work together won't be covered by health insurance companies.
